17th ANNUAL ROLLING BRITISH CAR DAY

Two starting points: Temecula and San Marcos. Both locations meet at 9:00 leave at 10:00. Both locations have gas stations nearby; both have places to grab a coffee/tea and some snacks; both have restrooms available. This will be the most fantastic Rolling British Car Day EVER! Both routes will travel through scenic back-country, twisty roads, with our famous “Wave & Smile” opportunities. No trip through downtown La Jolla this year—or EVER AGAIN! The two routes will converge, and we will parade the last 15 or so miles to our fabulous SECRET location.
Our final destination is truly beautiful and unique. We are being hosted by a fabulous group of folks. Here’s a few clues about our destination:
· Connections to John Wayne and John DeLorean
· We will be parking on beautiful grass—with views that are post card quality!
· Very exclusive, very private and extremely beautiful
· If you car isn’t running . . . you can fly in!
· You will not be able to see any office buildings . . . nor hear any highways!
· Our hosts will be joining us with some of their collector cars
· We doubt you have ever been there before!
· Our gracious hosts will be providing a freshly prepared British theme lunch and beverages (including beer, ales and wine)—see website for the exact menu. Purchase of the lunch is cash only.
We want to keep you in suspense about the destination for awhile! More hints will appear on the web site and the e-mail notices. However, in April, we will go public, so that babysitters and others will know where you’re going!
Because our hosts are preparing this feast for us, we need a committed headcount this year. This is different than previous years! Please go onto the web site and register and pay (PayPal or check) for your “Rallye Pack” ($10.00) NOW!! Your pre-paid Rallye Pack is your confirmation, your route directions, your gate pass, your windshield placard for our impromptu car show, registration & other materials for British Car Day, and some fun goodies. Rallye Packs will be distributed at the two starting locations.
Although we will make a limited number of Rallye Packs available the morning of the event, we can not over-emphasize the importance of registering and purchasing your Rallye Pack NOW! Thanks in advance.
You will need:
· We will be eating on the grass, under beautiful shade trees. You will need chairs, perhaps a blanket, and a table if you have one.
· You are welcome to bring your own picnic and beverages as always . . . but we do hope folks will support the British theme lunch being prepared!
· Lunch and other “shopping opportunities” are cash only. No credit cards or checks.
· As with all Rolling British Car Day events, you will need to provide your own vehicle and liability insurance, and sign a release to that affect.
Rain? The event will take place even should it rain. We will park on asphalt, and eat under cover. The destination is still beautiful, and the routes will still be scenic!
